HEALING WITH COLOURS IN FOOD
The healing and health given properties of food is well known. All food has colour value, which directly affects our energy levels through nurturing the corresponding physical organs and glands and affecting our subtle energies by stimulating particular chakras.
You may find yourself intuitively attracted to food of a particular colour, for example, when you need vitality, you maybe attracted to yellow and orange foods. The need to cleanse and detoxify attracts green foods. When the brain lacks nutrients, we may choose dark or richly coloured foods. In general, red, orange and yellow have a more alkaline effect, blue, indigo and violet foods tend to be more acidic, green foods are more PH neutral.

Research
According to the authors of the book; The Principles of Colour Healing, a human being cannot survive without colour. Colour is bound by light. All living cells are dependant on light and are affected even by the subtlest of changes. For example, long, grey and colourless winter months can bring out depression in some. Colour to others is magical portrayed in sunsets and moonlight and tropical sea anemones. Those that forget may have let the duties and obligations of everyday existence weigh too heavily on their shoulders, hounded by worries, engulfing their emotions, draining life energy and creating ill health.
According to Annette Noontil, author of The Body is the Barometer of The Soul, the colour of an aura can change depending on how you are feeling. For example, when you are learning and enjoying yourself, it is wide and colourful. If you are sick or depressed, it is close, thin and grey. By understanding your aura or soul, you are able to better keep each area of your body in working order. The chakras are where energy is distributed throughout the body and they are there to control the body. How you are thinking in your soul is the power available to each cell in your body. When your thinking is positive, the right amount of energy is kept flowing through to keep the cells healthy.
By applying the principles of colour healing to your energy centres, you are able to work with and enhance your energy. In her book, Annette Noontil explains that disease doesn’t bring pain, the pain of your soul brings disease and that we are a soul with a physical body, not vice versa and that it is the soul that provides the energy or life force to keep the body alive. She goes onto say that we came to this planet to heal ourselves of limitations and fears. If we are having trouble with our loved ones or friends, your soul part is where you go to heal it and this is how we grow spiritually and raise our level of consciousness to become one with all. Once this is done, we heal ourselves of all fears and limitations, which stop us from using our skills and full potential to manage the planets resources responsibly. Judgement of self and others causes these fears to suppress our expressions of joy.
